bug: Subtitles slowing down and stop working alltogether

Bug Description / Steps to Reproduce

Starting a show with subtitles on the app from a local server the subtitles work fine but after a while they slow down / become delayed from the video. Eventually stopping functionality all together causing nothing to get displayed.

I have tried changing the media player from mpv to html5 and vise versa. I have tried redownloading media and from different sources and from different anime and still no fix has occurred.

I'm on the same network as my server and there is no noticeable network issues that could be the cause. The video play back works as intended only the subtitles are effected.

I have also tried rebooting and making sure all updates have occurred on both the server and the devices running the desktop app and regardless of device / os (linux or mac os) the issue still persists.

Expected Behavior

The subtitles to appear at the correct times / at all.
