Kernel panic / boot freeze on 7.0.5 (Intel IBT issue, ibt=off helps) #95

Description

@d956009

When trying to boot into the 7.0.5 kernel, the system freezes completely, displaying various logs on the screen. Meanwhile, the 7.0.3 kernel boots successfully without any errors.

Following AI advice, I added the ibt=off parameter to the GRUB boot arguments, and the system successfully booted using the 7.0.5 kernel.

I am attaching a photo of the kernel crash output and the journalctl -b -1 log from before I modified the GRUB arguments.

My PC Specs:

OS: Fedora Linux 44 (KDE Plasma Desktop Edition) x86_64

Host: MS-7D99 (1.0)

CPU: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-13600KF (20) @ 5.10 GHz

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 [Discrete]

Secure Boot disabled
