How to Contribute

1. Submit Your Case

If you have been subject to a moderation action (community term: "flagged") and are willing to share your experience:

Option A: Use the Issue form (recommended, easiest)

  • Click Submit Case Issue
  • Fill in the form — no need to know Markdown or Git
  • Maintainers will normalize submitted cases into the Chinese case format under cases/

Option B: Submit a PR

  1. Copy the case template (source version, easier to copy; website version, easier to read)
  2. Fill in your information
  3. Rename the file to <your-github-username>.md
  4. Submit a PR
  5. In the PR, confirm that you consent to making this information public

2. Join the Existence Ledger

If you just want your existence to be recorded, without writing a full case:

3. Improve Documentation

If you find errors, outdated information, or areas for improvement in the documentation:

  1. Fork this repository
  2. Create a branch
  3. Make your changes
  4. Submit a PR

4. Join Discussions

Share your experience, suggestions, or questions in Discussions.

Simple split: full cases should use the Issue form or PR; general suggestions, broken-link reports, and source updates can go to Discussions.

Contribution Guidelines

Content Requirements

  • Fact-based: All information should be based on official documentation, community cases, or genuine personal experience
  • Cite sources: When referencing information, note the source
  • Distinguish levels: Clearly differentiate between "officially confirmed" and "community experience"
  • No violations: Do not teach people how to bypass rules or use black/gray-market methods

Conduct Requirements

  • Respect others: People who have been subject to moderation actions may be experiencing anxiety and frustration — please be kind
  • Don't blame the victim: Do not imply that "being restricted means you did something wrong"
  • Stay objective: Even for personal experiences, try to present the facts

Privacy Requirements

  • Don't expose others' information: Unless you have explicit consent
  • Sanitize sensitive data: Ticket numbers, email addresses, and other sensitive information must be anonymized
  • Right to withdraw: Anyone can request deletion of their information at any time
