There is no real benefit in providing the gRPC API with Protocol Buffers and Flatbuffers. It's just double the work to maintain and adds unnecessary complexity. Given that the Flatbuffers API is mainly used, it would be relatively straightforward to deprecate and remove the Protocol Buffers API.
