- Sharing content that could be harmful to people experiencing mental health challenges (e.g., detailed descriptions of self-harm methods, content that glorifies crisis behaviors)
- Sexual or violent language or imagery
- Other conduct that would reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting
Because Serava is a mental health application, we hold a heightened standard for how mental health topics are discussed in our community spaces (issues, pull requests, discussions, social media):
- Treat all mental health experiences with respect. Do not minimize, mock, or invalidate others' emotional experiences.
- Do not use mental health conditions as insults (e.g., "that's crazy," "you're being psychotic").
- If a community member appears to be in distress, respond with care. You may gently direct them to appropriate resources (e.g., a crisis helpline) rather than engaging in clinical assessment.
- Recognize that contributors may themselves be mental health users. Maintain sensitivity and psychological safety in all interactions.
Project maintainers are responsible for clarifying acceptable behavior standards and are expected to take appropriate and fair corrective action in response to any unacceptable behavior.
Maintainers have the right and responsibility to remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, wiki edits, issues, and other contributions that are not aligned with this Code of Conduct, and to temporarily or permanently ban any contributor for behaviors they deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.
This Code of Conduct applies within all project spaces, including the GitHub repository (issues, pull requests, discussions, code reviews), and in public spaces when an individual is representing the project or its community. Representation includes using an official project email address, posting via an official social media account, or acting as an appointed representative at an online or offline event.

All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly. The project maintainer is obligated to maintain confidentiality with regard to the reporter of any incident. Further details of specific enforcement policies may be posted separately.
Contributors who do not follow or enforce the Code of Conduct in good faith may face temporary or permanent repercussions as determined by the project maintainer.
