I'm just going to call it, I apologise if I've got anything wrong or offend anyone, but this does appear to be a result of neglected out of date code / docker images. There's all sorts of challenges. I note ffmpeg in the container is 5 years old despite a pull request to update at creation.
I also note open issues dating back to 2018, not giving the impression of an active project. And yet this is the best voice recording prompter I've ever seen. Hopefully at least someone clones it and fixes it if Mycroft won't.
I have managed to build manually as well but documentation is extremely sparse. I might figure some problems out, but really it would be better if this just got some love.
I've been trying to donate my non US English voice for a while now and I just keep hitting road blocks. Any chance we can get the devs at Mycroft to give this a bit of an overhaul / refresh?
