More customization?

I'd like to be able to set the background and font colors, maybe just with hex color codes. I have an OLED screen and it would save a lot of battery being able to use pure black instead of just a dark background.

I've used a darker background color since v0.1.7. Additionally, I added an option for pure dark color in the last commit 0eedbe9. You can get the debug apk from Github Action.
