Code of Conduct

Our Commitment

We are committed to providing a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of:

  • gender identity and expression
  • sexual orientation
  • disability
  • neurotype
  • physical appearance
  • body size
  • ethnicity
  • nationality
  • religion
  • level of experience or technical background

Harassment, discrimination, and abusive behavior are not tolerated in any project space, including the issue tracker, code review, chat channels, and physical or virtual events.

Expected Behavior

Project participants agree to:

  • Be respectful and inclusive. Give everyone a chance to contribute and be heard. Avoid language or actions that marginalize or exclude others.
  • Collaborate constructively. Offer and accept feedback with kindness. Criticize ideas, not individuals.
  • Communicate clearly. Assume good intent, ask for clarification when needed, and be mindful of cultural and language differences.
  • Respect boundaries. Honor personal space and time. Refrain from unwelcome attention or contact.
  • Uphold professional conduct. Resolve disagreements by seeking consensus and focusing on what is best for the project.

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behavior is not acceptable:

  • Harassment, intimidation, bullying, stalking, or threats of violence.
  • Discriminatory jokes, slurs, or demeaning comments.
  • Sexual language, imagery, or advances.
  • Trolling, deliberate disruption, or sustained interruption of discussion.
  • Publishing others’ private information without explicit permission (doxing).
  • Encouraging or assisting any of the above behaviors.

Reporting and Enforcement

If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior:

  1. Document the incident (date, time, description, and people involved).
  2. Report it by emailing the maintainers at zaptx486923@gmail.com (or through any other contact method listed in project documentation).
  3. Wait for a response. The maintainers will review the report promptly, keep it confidential, and determine the appropriate action.

Possible Outcomes

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in:

  • A private warning.
  • A public warning.
  • Temporary or permanent ban from project spaces.
  • Reversal of recent contributions.
  • Escalation to the offender’s employer or local authorities if necessary.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to:

  • All project repositories and communication channels.
  • Community events or meetings related to the project.
  • Any situation where someone represents the project or its community.

Acknowledgements

This Code of Conduct is adapted from established community guidelines such as the Contributor Covenant and the Rust Code of Conduct. We thank the broader open-source community for setting clear expectations and helping projects remain inclusive.
