Legal Disclaimer for KaliGPT

1. Compliance & Intended Use

KaliGPT is an AI-powered command-line assistant designed to support ethical hacking, cybersecurity learning, and offensive security workflows within Linux environments, particularly Kali Linux. It integrates with AI models (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT, Ollama, OpenRouter) to provide real-time guidance, command suggestions, and educational support.

The tool is built to assist trained users and students in mastering cybersecurity techniques and streamlining penetration testing tasks. It operates under a "human-in-the-loop" principle, where all AI-generated commands must be reviewed and approved by the user.

KaliGPT aligns with ethical AI use and is intended for authorized security assessments only. Users are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws, including the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA), GDPR, and other regional cybersecurity regulations.

2. Open Source Notice & Responsibility

KaliGPT is released under the Custom License (available at github.com/SudoHopeX/KaliGPT). The source code is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

  • The author and contributors assume no liability for any system damage, data loss, legal issues, or unauthorized use resulting from KaliGPT.
  • Users must independently verify all AI-generated commands before execution.
  • Testing in isolated environments (e.g., virtual machines or labs) is strongly advised before deployment in any production context.

3. Security & Ethical Use

  • Authorized Use Only: KaliGPT must not be used to access, test, or exploit systems without explicit permission from the owner.
