[bug] Books with long filenames can't be uploaded via the web UI

Describe the bug
Uploading books via the web UI fails when the book has a long filename.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Press the book upload button.
2. Select a book with a long filename.
3. Observe the error which doesn't mention the issue being the long name.

Expected behavior
The book being uploaded with a truncated name or the error message saying that the name is too long.
