💬 [Question] Disable continuous polling

How do I disable continuous polling and set email updates to occur manually (or when the tab is active)? Currently, continuous polling occurs as long as the tab is open (even if it's not active) in the browser.

Thank you for reaching out and for your interest in Cypht Webmail. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and raise this issue.

Cypht does not currently offer a setting to disable continuous polling or limit it to an active tab. Mail-list auto-refresh is hardcoded in JavaScript and keeps running while the tab is open, even in the background.

@accountnujen Is one of the goals to reduce power consumption and increase battery life on a laptop? (something @nekohayo actively tracks in various applications)

To make it easier to plan for a future development, can we make a list of all the options? Ex.:

• Only when page is refreshed or "get mail" button is clicked
• Automatic every x minutes (even if browser tab is inactive)
• Automatic every x minutes (only if browser tab is active)
• etc.

The current implementation is automatic, running every minute (60s) for both active and inactive browser tabs. I think these three options are the most relevant and the timeframe is fine for me.
