Brightness levels restore themselves to the original value

My brightness levels restore themselves to the original value after a while.
After using the PC for a while (I can't give a precise timeline but I'd say a couple of hours) I notice the screen's gotten significantly brighter and when I check the Monitorian slider this is indeed the case, the brightness values I had previously set have restored to their original levels.
This happens in different situations, when using the PC continuously and when the PC locks itself after idle time.
I tried different settings but the problem persists.

But given this limited information, I cannot tell what is causing this or judge if this app has someting to do with it.

I'm sorry I can't provide any further information as I myself I'm not sure what's causing this. It seems to occur randomly but it happens most commonly whenever the monitor turns on again after being in sleep mode.
Could there maybe be a possibility in the future to add a feature that forces Monitorian to keep the selected brightness levels unchanged until the program is closed as a sort of workaround?

In general, the brightness change made through other method (e.g. OSD menu) is not notified, depending on whether the monitor is internal or external. Therefore, it is unlikely that this app can capture every change of brightness and make it back to a set value.

That said, you may find Command with Task Scheduler or Time Command to be of some help.

In any case, you will need to find the root cause to solve that issue ultimately.

After extensive testing the problem seems to be caused by my monitor coming out of sleeping mode, for some reason it causes monitorian go go back to the default brightness levels.

Could you post operation.log which includes that issue? How to produce the log is explained in Reporting section of readme.

Here it is:

It happened two times while the operation log recording was active. Whenever I come back to the PC and the monitor turns on again after being in sleep mode, it makes the set brightness/contrast revert to their default.

But there is no record that this app set the brightness during that period. Does it happen when this app is not running?

That's strange. Monitorian was running the entire time during the log recording process. I had my brightness and contrast levels changed during the entire time but whenever I came back to the PC and the monitor exited sleep mode, the Monitorian levels went back to the default (which is around 52).

It's not strange. If the brightness has been changed by other factors, when this app checkes the value, it reflect that value.
