Hello, I am testing the DentalSegmentator extension in 3DSlicer. I have noticed that the segmentation works well on CBCT data, but when I try CT scans, the model barely identifies teeth.
I have installed the extension following the official instructions, and the model weights are properly downloaded. I did not modify any configuration files.
Could you advise:
Are there any specific preprocessing steps or settings recommended for CT data (voxel spacing, HU normalization, etc.)?
Is there a known limitation of the current model when applied to CT versus CBCT?
Would retraining or fine-tuning be necessary to achieve reliable CT segmentation?
Thank you for your help!
