Code of Conduct

Our Commitment

AgentSeal is built by people who care about security, and we hold our community to the same standard. We are committed to providing a welcoming, respectful, and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of background, identity, or experience level.

This applies to all AgentSeal community spaces: GitHub repositories, issues, pull requests, discussions, and any other channels where community members interact.

Expected Behavior

  • Be respectful and constructive in all interactions
  • Welcome newcomers and help them get started
  • Give and receive feedback gracefully
  • Focus on what is best for the community and the project
  • Take responsibility for your words and actions
  • Respect differing viewpoints and experiences
  • Credit the work of others when building on it

Unacceptable Behavior

  • Harassment, intimidation, or personal attacks of any kind
  • Discriminatory or derogatory comments based on personal characteristics
  • Publishing someone's private information without their explicit permission
  • Sustained disruption of discussions or contribution processes
  • Sexualized language or imagery in any community space
  • Trolling, insulting comments, or deliberately inflammatory behavior
  • Any conduct that would be considered inappropriate in a professional setting

Reporting

If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, please report it by emailing hello@agentseal.org. All reports will be reviewed and investigated. We will maintain confidentiality to the extent possible.

Enforcement

Community maintainers will take appropriate action in response to violations. This may include:

  1. Correction - A private conversation to clarify expectations
  2. Warning - A formal notice that the behavior must stop
  3. Temporary restriction - Temporary loss of access to community spaces
  4. Permanent ban - Permanent removal from all community spaces

The severity of the response will match the severity of the violation. Repeat violations will result in escalated responses.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all AgentSeal community spaces and to any situation where someone is representing the project publicly.

Attribution

This Code of Conduct is inspired by the Contributor Covenant and adapted for the AgentSeal community.
