Thank you for your interest in contributing to Pier. This Contributor License Agreement ("Agreement") documents the rights granted by contributors to the project maintainers.
By submitting a contribution (via pull request, patch, or any other method), you agree to the following terms:
- "You" means the individual who submits a contribution.
- "Contribution" means any original work of authorship, including modifications or additions to existing work, that you submit to the project.
- "Project" means the Pier software and all associated repositories.
You hereby grant to the project maintainers a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute your contributions and such derivative works.
You hereby grant to the project maintainers a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the project, where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by you that are necessarily infringed by your contribution(s) alone or by combination of your contribution(s) with the project.
You represent that:
- You are legally entitled to grant the above licenses.
- Each contribution is your original creation.
- Your contribution does not violate any third party's rights.
You understand and agree that the project maintainers may offer the project under additional license terms (dual licensing), including commercial licenses, and that your contributions may be included in such offerings.
You understand that the decision to include your contribution in the project is entirely at the discretion of the project maintainers.
By submitting a pull request or contribution, you signify your agreement to these terms.
