Is your suggested feature related to a problem? Please describe.

Update channel does not remember preferences (because it's per instance) which is annoying when developing packs and working with different 'branches' or instances of the same pack

Describe the solution you'd like

An app-wide default setting to set the update channel for all instances unless overriden on a per-pack basis
