So cover images are in either /system/media/, /system/media/default, as well as /data/misc
Now, I have successfully symlinked from /data/misc/standby.png to /mnt/sdcard/Download/standby.png -> and now I can have KOreader write to that file. Works like a charm! Go to standby -> the cover image that KOreader wrote is now your cover image. Sweet!
But, only for a single standby cycle. Because it turns out the device overwrites the /data/misc/standby.png file with the one from /system/media/default after every return from standby. Incredibly frustrating. Was so close to getting this to work perfectly.
Anyone else that has experimented and found anything?
