sound visualization issues

I was using older portable boris, but the problem persists in the latest one (9.12.3) too.

In the waveform plot if I set the y axis scaling to automatic, it changes the plot but when I start the playback, it jumps back to manual.

In the spectrogam the colouring of the frequency power seems off, the plot is homogenous yellow without any details.
