release v.0.5.8: Cannot start on macOS 15.5

So, I was really looking forward to this, as I followed your commits here

I tested v0.5.9 on macOS 15.5

What I saw:

Global:

• Settings cannot be entered with "apple" + "," (low priority)
• Sub application shortcuts "apple" + 0; "apple" + 1 ... are not noted in global macOS menu (low priority)
• Would love to have an external input, either from another app (mid priority)

Library:

• Output level is only applied with current track, when the next track comes, volume is again at 100 (high priority)
• Output level is preferred as dampening factor in "-dB" (mid priority)
• Meters: Mute does not work (low priority)
• Output level can only be changed with mouse wheel (high priority)
• Output level jumps back to 100 when hovering area is left (high priority)

Studio Rack:

• No input peak meters (mid priority)
• Plugin Matrix. Preset Identity is misleading. Suggestion: Rename to "Identical" (low priority)
• Plugin EQ: "SPL" is misleading. Suggestion: Rename SPL to "dB" OR "dBr" (low priority)
• Plugin EQ: Possibility to bypass a single band would be great. Display process status via color as background in the band selector (mid priority)
• Plugin EQ: Jump to band from combined overview would be great
• Plugin: Loudness: Would love to have 4 peak bands with gain curve bound to output volume to implement a complete fletcher-munson (mid priority)
• Plugin Spectrum: Display of spectrum only possible after entering the plugin three times (mid prio)
• Plugin Spectrum: frame is off

• Plugin Spectrum: FFT tilt option to make pink noise and wide band music "flat" in the view port (low prio)
• Shortcut system in/op (mid prio)

Haven't had time for more, yet... hope I can continue tomorrow!

I have a few questions:

that's planned for next version. The HAL driver is almost working but not fully. The goal is to replace soundflower. I am struggling to get it to work with SIP and other security stuff from Apple.

I am not sure of what you want. I can add auto-gain easily now. What are the 4 PKs for?

Wow, sounds like a big effort to replace Soundflower!

The four peak filters with gain would be great for a proper Fletcher-Munson "loudness" correction filter

Shortcut system inoperative (in/op): My understanding is that the arrow keys can be used to step through the params (l and r arrows) and edit them (up and down arrows). It seems that the character in brackets (e.g., [a]ngle ) can be used to directly jump to that param. That system did not work on my end.

OK, here comes the second part:

Recording:

• Output device configuration: When "custom" is selected, output channel names cannot be changed. Expectation: Names can be changed (mid prio)
• "Channel n: Interface - / +" plus button has no effect, but minus does have one. Expectation: Both buttons have an effect (low prio)
• "Input device" Number of channels can only be decreased, not increased (mid priority)
• Microphone Calibration: Magnitude is labelled in SPL (DB). Expectation "SPL (dB)". The label "FREQUENCY (HZ)" is squashed (low prio)
• Output Directory: The buttons "Browse..." and "Clear" have different font sizes (low prio)
• Save Recordings: "Load previous" button is not visible as action area. "Save All" and "Load previous" have different font sizes (low prio)
• Only single mic recordings possible. Feature request: Add multi mic and locations support.

What kind of custom channels do you want? multiple drivers per speaker? 2-3-4 ways?

Yes, 2-3-4 and Dual channels simultaneously for double voice coils

Room EQ:

• Seems to only work with recently measured session. Loaded measurements from .csv are not processed.
• None of the options in "Goals & Configurations" can be manipulated
• EQ mode cannot be manipulated
• Run Optimization "Start Optimization" button is not visible as action area
• "Review results" request: Display delta of improvement also as value in percentage (important for management reporting :))
• "Export & Apply": None of the action areas (Save, Export, Apply) are visible as such

• Super Nice - is it planned to somehow combine the findings of the spinorama and room EQ measurements intelligently?

Yes. Possibly that can be used with a in-room to correct above 500-800hz. I tried with my speakers and that does not produce a very clear difference but they are extremely good speakers.
