MPV overheats and VLC remain stable

In my laptop, the default mpv configuration puts the processor to 100% all the time and it overheats the PC. If I launch vlc instead the processor remains at 20% with 100% occasional peaks, but it never overheats. Same ani-cli, just change from mpv to vlc.

This is an HP laptop running EndeavourOS with all defaults in ani-cli.
