Path part of HttpClient BaseAddress not used

I have a Refit interface defined:

public interface INotificationWebhookApi<TNotification>
{
    [Post("")]
    Task SendAsync([Body] TNotification notification, [Query] Guid? organizationId = null);
}

I Create a client using a factory method like so:

public INotificationWebhookApi<TNotification> Create<TNotification>(Uri hostUrl)
    {
        var client = _httpClientFactory.CreateClient();
        client.BaseAddress = hostUrl;

        RefitSettings settings = new()
        {
            ContentSerializer = new SystemTextJsonContentSerializer(_jsonOptions)
        };

        return RestService.For<INotificationWebhookApi<TNotification>>(client, settings);
    }

When BaseAddress is set to something like https://example.com/api, calling the SendAsync(notification, Guid.NewGuid()) on the instance created, will call https://example.com/?organizationId=57748050-5521-45b7-83a8-cb882927ab75, it is removing the /api part from teh BaseAddress on the HttpClient.

Is this expected behavior? I can't find any documentation about this. Its currently preventing me from using Refit effectively.

Allright, i finally figured out why this was not working, it was my fault. For future reference, the BaseAddress i set contained 2 forward slashes, so instead of https://example.com/api it was https://example.com//api, this caused the //api part to be dropped. Removing the duplicate / somewhere else in my code fixed the issue.
