Future deprecation of apparmor 3.x and apparmor 4.x

To simplify the support matrix, the build process, and the future reorganization of the package to sub package, support for apparmor 3.x (and abi 3.0) will have to be dropped. Furthermore, as apparmor 4.0 is a short-lived version, support for it will also be dropped, and only apparmor 4.1+ will be supported.

This will be effective a few months after Debian 13 is released.

It also means that support for the following distribution version will be dropped:

• Debian 12
• Ubuntu 22.04

Some news here:

• The deprecation has been defayed a bit
• The deprecation will be in effect in early 2026 (with the release of apparmor 5.0)
• It will be extended to apparmor 4.

In short, once Ubuntu 26.04 is released, no distribution older than Debian 13 will be supported.

I will communicate shortly on why, but very quickly apparmor 5.0 will bring some major feature that will have considerable impact (in a good way) on the profiles in this project.
