Request for Access to Training Data for Research Purposes #1

Description

@shardulkulkarni14

Dear VitalWatch Team (@roman-dusek @Tomichi @mskl),

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Shardul Kulkarni, and I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Data and Knowledge Engineering at OVGU Magdeburg, Germany. As part of my thesis, I am working on a project that aligns closely with the goals of VitalWatch, specifically in the domain of Hospital surgery video analysis and event detection using advanced machine learning techniques.

I am highly impressed with the work you have done with VitalWatch, especially the integration of YOLO for real-time object detection and the Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) system for continuous improvement. I believe that incorporating the data used to train your model could significantly enhance the performance and robustness of my own research model.

Request:

I am writing to inquire if there is any possibility that you could share the training data used in the development of VitalWatch. I assure you that the data will be used solely for academic and research purposes, and appropriate credit and citations will be given in my thesis and any related publications.

I understand the sensitivity and confidentiality of medical data, and I am willing to comply with any necessary agreements or ethical guidelines to ensure proper use and protection of the data.

Additional Information:

University: Otto Von Geuricke University Magdeburg, Germany
Department: Informatics
Research Project Title: Multi-perspective Video Analysis System in hospital environment.

Thank you very much for considering my request. I am looking forward to your positive response and am happy to provide any additional information you might require.

Best regards,

Shardul Kulkarni,
Shardul.kulkarni@st.ovgu.de.
