May 2026 in-person meeting #248

Description

@nicolo-ribaudo

Schedule / slides: #248 (comment)

Like we did in the previous years, we are organizing an in-person TG4 meeting / hack-together.

This time it will be in Amsterdam, on May 18th (Monday). It's co-located with the main TC39 meeting, happening from the 19th to the 21st.

To join the meeting you will need to be a delegate or an invited expert (as a rule of thumb, if you can join the online TG4 meetings then you can join the in-person meeting). If you are interested in coming, please fill the interest survey that you can find at https://github.com/tc39/Reflector/issues/576 (and if you plan to attend only the TG4 meeting and not the TC39 one, write it in the comments column of that spreadsheet). It's not binding, but it helps having an idea of the numbers.

We have the full day, and I think we could organize it as follows:

  1. Normal TG4 meeting
  2. Presentations about the work we are doing, for other TC39 delegates that normally are not involved in TG4 (it's very likely we'll have a lot of "guests", given that TG1 delegates are traveling to Amsterdam anyway!)
  3. Discussion about roadmap to complete scopes and range mappings, and on helping community adoption
  4. Discussion about what other problems we might want to solve with source maps once the current batch of proposals is done
  5. Unstructured time to hacking together on implementations of the proposals
