@mkurkov, much appreciated your PR, thanks, looks good to me.
Good to know about rustler pre compiled, happy to accept a PR if you'd like to have it on this lib too. I'm not using it too frequently, and I haven't been keeping up with fluvio much lately.
I've just bumped version 0.2.5 on hex.pm with your contribution.

Hi! Thanks for the library — I realized it doesn’t work with the latest Fluvio version due to API changes. I’ve updated the dependencies so it works with the latest Fluvio binaries.
Also, it would be great to add Rustler precompiled NIF integration: https://hexdocs.pm/rustler_precompiled/precompilation_guide.html. That would allow installing the Rust library without compiling it locally.
